Galapagos & Amazon Expedition
Galapagos Islands and Amazon Jungle expedition - Napo Wildlife Center, Yasuní
National Park. 16D / 15N
The best and newest tour combination between Galapagos and the Amazon
jungle is definitely Napo Wildlife Center. Deep in the Amazon Basin and
in the heart of the Yasuni National Park, the Quichua Añangu community
together with Eco-Ecuador's collaboration have formed this Center,
considered by top naturalists, as one of the best alternatives to learn
first hand about Amazon's wildlife. The guests are divided into small
groups and guided by an Añangu native who is an expert on medicinal
plants and other useful products offered by the rain forest. They will
also be accompanied by an excellent naturalist guide with ample
biological knowledge of the tropical forest. Each group and their
respective guides will create a suitable excursion based on current
animal activity and weather conditions. Furthermore, the group and
guides will determine how extreme and intense the excursion will be.
This will maximize wildlife observations and tailor the visit to your
desires. While resting on your private porch after the day's activities,
you will have a chance to observe giant otters snooping around near the
lodge dock, or a large 13 ft black cayman crossing the lake, or a
capybara looking for a rest spot near the lake's edge. Maybe even have
the opportunity to view the graceful flight of blue and yellow macaws
flying over the lodge. The jungle experience while in NWC is the perfect
prelude to see wildlife in the rain forest before the unforgettable 8
day cruise through the Galapagos Islands.
